Aithera Labs Advances to the Pitch Stage of the WAVEMAKER Water Innovation Award

We're delighted to share that Aithera Labs has been selected to progress to the in-person pitch stage of the WAVEMAKER Water Innovation Award, hosted in Oxford. Aithera Labs will be one of six ventures pitching to an expert judging panel on 17 September.

The WAVEMAKER Water Innovation Award recognizes ventures working to solve some of the most pressing challenges in water resilience and innovation — a mission that aligns closely with Aithera Labs' work in flood forecasting and ocean climate monitoring. Being chosen as one of just six finalists reflects the strength of the technical platform we've built: a flood intelligence system that combines live data from Environment Agency river gauges, Sentinel-1 satellite radar, soil moisture sensors, next-generation weather modeling, and coastal tide data with a machine learning model trained to forecast flood risk with real precision.

Ahead of the 17 September event, Oxentia is offering the finalists a series of optional masterclasses and one-on-one pitch mentoring — a resource we're looking forward to making the most of as we sharpen the Aithera Labs story for the judging panel.

This is another strong milestone in a year that has already included recognition through the Barclays Black Founder Accelerator and strong early validation from programs like Innovate UK's AI Champions initiative. Making the pitch stage of an award of this caliber is a meaningful signal that Aithera Labs' approach to climate resilience technology is resonating with the water innovation community.

We'll be sharing more as we prepare for the big day in Oxford — wish us luck.
